About Talon, book one of The Astor Chronicles
Talon is a nineteen-year-old Kriite man about to discover his place in the world. Even after meeting a ferocious icetiger claiming to be his new bond partner, Talon doesn't know how rapidly his life is about to change. For the enemy is moving and Talon is a part of their devious scheme to kill or enslave all Kriites.
An unlikely hero with his remaining family members scattered, Talon is sent to seek assistance for his people from an old ally. But when he finds out that ally is now in cohorts with the enemy, his journey becomes bigger than he ever could have imagined.
Along with his guide, the formiddable red-haired warrior with her firetiger, Talon travels to Tanza, land of the skyearls. Though they are true-hearted and strong, the Tanzans have problems of their own. And soon it will be up to Talon to fight in a battle wielding powers unheard of in this age.

About the author, Amanda Greenslade
Amanda Greenslade was born in Queensland, Australia and wrote her first fictional piece at age nine. Amanda pursued writing as a hobby throughout her childhood and joined the Queensland Writers’ Centre in her teens to learn more about the profession of writing.
She is currently employed as a Communications Officer, using her writing skills on a daily basis. Her dream is to see Talon (and the rest of The Astor Chronicles) in print and for sale around the world: entertaining and inspiring readers of various ages and backgrounds.
